There's a great (and hysterically funny) example of how simple signs can be misleading -- and how unintended events can be caused by them. I beg of you... Run (don't walk) to THE BOOMERSUNITED - SRMEETUP BLOG and thoroughly read the latest article (dated October 6th) titled "Misleading Signs..." and get a wonderful look at the essence and importance of precision in communications, wacky wordplay and oxymoronic humor.
Laugh all you'd like, but I took the photograph myself, and the story is (somewhat) true.
The moral: When you put up a sign to communicate an idea to the general public, be certain to use very precise language, lest Murphy's Law come into play and ruin your day, your career, or even your company.
