ATTENTION: THIS IS NOT A POST...OR IS IT?
One of the most important skills you can develop is the ability to listen, not just with your ears, but with all of your senses, including your intuition and your instinct. Before you send any communication of any importance, it is best to know the territory. The territory, in this specific case, is comprised of a combination of the other person's: core beliefs, biases, developmental experiences, tastes and preferences, and motivations. Think about this. Isn't it foolhardy to try to communicate something to someone, or to impose your opinion or point of view upon someone, WITHOUT KNOWING THE TERRITORY? Yet, people insist on doing this every time. Hysterically, some of these misguided people fancy themselves to be great communicators and statespersons. You know better. While we're on the subject, hyperlink to www.HumanitasMaximus.blogspot.com now. Follow the directions when you get there in order to learn to cultivate one of the most powerful skills you can have as a communicator.
Faithfully,
